Book Two consists of war only. Rather long and boring in places, with some good insights on to how Prince Andrew and Nicholas think. Rather longer than it really needed to be, but I suppose War is the name of the game.

Another book of boring war, followed by an awful lot of happenings in quite a short period of time. I am completely infatuated with Pierre, however. He is an idiot.

Book One complete. Very much about setting the scene, introducing characters and threading all the various lines and seeing how they connect. Very digestible story with its short chapters. Some flowery prose at times that don't add much, but easily read.
