the MC won’t shut up about how terrible her life is and how much she envies anyone with a little more money or education. she’s completely blind to the good things in her life— her beautiful kids, the roof over her head, the ability to work and her good health and well being. not that she should suck it up and be grateful, but she has opportunities to make changes and repeatedly shuts them down. infuriating
