Definitely my 2024 winner for book that I nursed the longest. I think I have two pages left and I just can't bring myself to finish

Congratulations. The female main character has finally figured out what we have known since the second chapter. Only took her to page 268 of 344

There's slow burn and then there's just:
come. on. figure it out

OK, how did we end up with a pirate trope happening in this book? I mean, at least the head of the Pirates is a woman who is gay so that’s at least interesting, but uggh. I don’t like pirate stuff.

OK, so this is going to be one of those books that I have to reread. Which I would say is one out of 100 times. Because there’s a lot going on combined with the fact, they are using a lot of Gaelic, which I don’t understand and even though it’s the names or some of the Different groups in the Fairy realm – you can get lost really quick

Amazing how beautiful words can take an incredibly boring thing like directions and make it so delightful.

Oh finally! A book on fairies that goes back to the roots. I'm not a Celtic inclined person but there is a lot of the threads of origin they come from these sources which have been pulled into the famous books like acotar. So it's nice to go back to the roots. Although I have to say the female MC is a bit of a blind character but at least her backstory makes sense for her inability to see what's around her.

Oh my gosh finally there's a story that is starting to happen! I think sometimes authors forget that the preamble needs to actually pull you into the story because this one was so boring I almost dnf'd

Daang it. 4% in and I am hardcore bored. I really hope this picks up because this is one of the very few hard covers I own
