I don't understand her reaction to her marriage. except for the sin, it's exactly what she wanted. AND they make so much of her intelligence and have her act irrationally. and why does she shut everyone out? also illogical to me. introspection makes sense but it was too dour in light of the reasons she said she wanted to get married.

I had to read some spoilers because I was about to give up reading. it's a shame. but I'm resigned to continue.
