This might be my fourth read of this beautiful book, but this is the first time I’ve ever read the physical copy; I’ve always done audio before now (because Gemma Whelan’s narration is masterful). But it’s very cool to see the chapter heading illustrations and see how things are pronounced XD

This is my third read of this series and the reveal of the traitor is just as upsetting as the first time. What a despicable person.

This is a very niche thing to say but I just realized who Professor Onstald reminds me of—Mr. Thicknose from The Land Before Time: The Big Freeze (my favorite LBF movie).

Morrigan frowned. She’d felt perfectly calm until he’d asked her whether she was feeling calm. Nobody ever asked anybody if they were feeling calm, unless they thought the person had a reason NOT to feel calm.
