it didn’t hook me right away but it’s written just as well as her other books. it’s t kingfishers most popular book on goodreads but idk i feel like i liked the other books more by this point but it’s not bad by any means. prob 4-4.5 at this point?

the last third was a lot more enjoyable than the rest of the book. but i didn’t try too hard to finish it quickly when it just wasn’t hitting. i think i was just in the mood today and that’s why i loved the last part so much. i really do love t.kingfishers writing and i probably should have put the book on hold when i first started so that i could have enjoyed the whole book.

like if i read too much crichton back to back itll get old and i wont enjoy as much as if i sprinkle in some dogshit in between
with series too if i go thru straight it just gets worse even if i was enjoying and i end up giving lower ratings
