Eugh, there’s a sequel to this shit book????

Hard pass.

Not only that, but the “amnesia” trope??? 🙄

Yeah, about 5% of me was debating if this really deserves to be on my utter shit shelf, or the one star rating….but read that book 2 blurb just cemented it.

Fuck this shit.

- I want to stop thinking about this shit book I wasted almost a whole two days reading-thinking it would get better.

Gods that was shit. Even more so if I keep thinking on it.

- I don’t buy into their relationship, their “love”, what else is there, their issues??, it’s all so very ….underwhelming.

- I’m not rooting for a single fucking character in this story.

- I prob won’t read another book by this author ever. Just based on this one alone.

- this author already says that they had the mmc all figured out before “realizing” who the fmc really was, or whatever.
Which was very obvious in the end, bc I’m now left with the impression that the mmc had more in common with all the poor dead women he fucked, than he did with this fmc.

- I think I mentioned it before, but the relationships in this book do not seem believable. The last couple of pages the mcs say they love each other. And I felt nothing.

- the “villain” being the fmcs’ best friend, ..all of that was so EXTREMELY underwhelming.

- the “art” of the mcs. Atrocious. I hate that kind of drawing style, and they’re ugly anyways. I’d rather imagine what the characters look like instead of it being shoved in my face.

…that was such a disappointing read.

After 50-60% of the way through, everything turned to shit and just kept getting worse.

Omfg I really hope that entire text messaging and FaceTime scene was a hallucination 🤦🏻‍♀️

I do feel jipped though. Such subpar intimate scenes for a darker themed book. I’ve halfway through this book and nothing substantial has happened between the mcs

Nothing I’ve read so far warranted a note to be made..until now

- there were more than a few times where the writing was just off, it felt so unnatural.
- the sex scenes are meh
- some funny (super dark humor) scenes sprinkled throughout
- and suddenly the texting image…eugh. Major cringe.

Totally ruined any nice thoughts I had of this reading so far
