Didn’t see that coming

At this point of the book, the main character is really annoying and frustrating. Not sure if that means the writer should have quit when she was ahead, or I’m just an insensitive person who wouldn’t be patient enough to be close friends with someone who experienced this extreme an amount of horrific trauma
