I am on page 6 of your book and have already marked four of your claims as fanciful and deserving of further research. why do you have a "further reading" section at the back of your book and not a "books I actually read that are reliable source of information" section. was it because you did not ready any? Diane?

rereading with better critical thinking skills. my last experience with Diane Ackerman was that she just *says* things sometimes. I'm on page 2 of the intro and she asserts that Masai women use excrement in their hair and would find peppermint as a breath freshener bizarre. the hair thing seems like an easy fact to confirm but she's the only one saying it. is she thinking of.. clay? DIANE??
