It's so annoying that I'm literally crying on the bus, actual tears, but because of the controversy every single monologue, every single interaction, or lessons the characters are learning has this weird white-savior-complex aura to it. And it's just sad.

I wish this book wasn't based on the 60's scoop, but it is. And that is the most heartbreaking part about this book.

My heart wants to love this, but my head sees so many problems mainly because of the controversy about this book. So Many problematic lines when you know on what this book was based on.
