The historical forward & prologue almost stopped me. Glad I pressed on because chapters 1 and 2 are immensely engaging and well written.
I typically love prologues (not the type to skip them) but this one wasn’t entirely essential. Still, I’ll never deny an author the personal pleasure of filling the front-matter with whatever their heart desires. Loving both povs
