perhaps i need to read the divine comedy

from trolling other reviews (yes yes i know i shouldnt do that before i finish but it’s always far too tempting) it seems you need to buy into (1) the format and (2) the characters to enjoy this book and yes oh yesss i am enamored with both

(also think that reading cloud atlas prior to this was acclimatory bc it’s halfway to the avant-garde-ness that Bardo is)

i love a good ensemble cast i love some creative writing styles i love love love when a book makes me cry and laugh in succession oh george you have been lovely so far
