I was given this book for Christmas, and i am really enjoying it. I love this book because I love the writing style, which I have never seen before. I also really like the main character Holden, because I like the way he thinks in somewhat short, fragmented bursts. I like the way he goes about his life, and I especially liked how thoughtful he was with the nuns in the restaurant. He is my favorite character so far.

There were times in this book where I could not understand why Holden did something, but I eventually understood his choices, and he rarely did anything to hurt others. He was a very sympathetic character. I thought Stradlater was very unsympathetic throughout the entire book. I never understood why he acted so much better than everyone else, and I really did not like him. He had few redeeming qualities, if any.
