You literally should have just made this a General Fiction book. This is not a mystery, it’s a critique of social media under the veil of fiction. Which is fine, but it doesn’t lend itself to the pacing of a mystery.

I take it back, it also rips into True Crime podcasters too, which I love to see.

2 things right, then. But this book is still boring af and that playlist is still cringe.

There’s one (1) thing this book is doing well, and that’s capturing what absolute nightmares “Mom-fluencers” are. Erin should be in fucking prison.

My book flopped shut. Upon opening it again, I found a spotify playlist in the back full of Taylor Swift songs, as well as a handful of other Extremely Predictable Artists.



I don't even want to keep going, because I know exactly what the author's game is now.

I love how Hazel calls Buxton racist when he speaks an objective truth about how social media reacts to these situations.

Calling it now: This is not something the author is going to challenge or have Hazel rethink later on.
