absolutely genius how muir manipulates the reader into wanting the plot to stand still. the ending of htn leaves you on an intense cliffhanger, and the beginning of ntn does not concern itself with picking up where it left off. this might have been frustrating if nona had not been such a delight. you want the plot to keep moving, but you know you will lose your new friend if it does.
