reading sylvia's tortured path to a coherent philosophy makes me glad i never bothered to write down my tortured path to a coherent philosophy.
don't get me wrong, this is a good book; i wouldn't still be in it otherwise. the writing is always solid, and sometimes beautiful or extraordinary or poignant or all three, and plath is witty and i'd have fucked her from hell to breakfast, but it's quite a lot of text.
