Oh man, really glad to hear this. I read James earlier this year and was kind of perplexed by how average it was.

Twice tried The Trees and my flabber was gasted by how cartoonish and screenplayish it seemed, but I twice watched and enjoyed American Fiction plus Cody on here gave this one a five-star review, in part for its daddy/daughter appeal, and so as the daddy of a daughter the age of the daughter in the book, I ordered this one (<$7 for some reason for a new paperback). Also helps to picture Jeffrey Wright as the narrator. This could easily be filmed.
