This month's theme is Americana. The theme is somewhat tongue-in-cheek inspired by an early July finish: The Love Songs of WEB Du Bois, an epic spanning the times of the colonial slave trade, the Civil War, and the current tumultuous era.

Reading James along side Huckleberry Finn. Started HF first (never read) but it's interesting to see the two sides to the story. James can be read alone "they " say. I've found it richer along with HF.
