Now in the healing section there is talk of Lord Brahma, Shiva, Indra, etc. all things I don't care about. I just want to know how to open chakras

Apostle John is being quoted and there's still nothing about healing yet.

Why does this book read like a giant thesis/research project on chakras and their history?

This book is so confusing with all the descriptions of the different chakras (broken down even more than the main 7). It's not helping me gain any value to read about those.

I don't even understand what I'm reading.
Sattva evolves preserving power
Rajas moves creative power
Tamas stops destructive power

Gunas in equilibrium with the potential of movement: sattva rajas Tamas
Rajas begin to stir and activates sattva Guna: sattva > rajas > Tamas
Sattva guna moves: sattva > rajas> Tamas
Etc.
