I got a bad vibe from Nova right away, esp when she wouldn't shake Lexie's hand but now I'm thinking it's more than that. She said her family has lived there for generations & that she just decided to live in the dorms this year, meaning she DIDN'T last year. I think she's w/the witches & they had her share a dorm room w/Lexie so she could to watch her. She was trying to get info @ her family, just like Abby was.

And of course Abby PROVES she can't be trusted by filling the diner full of witches & asking her all those invasive questions & wanting to know where her family & the people she's close to are. Then Camille, the witch who's training her makes that comment about how shifters should be putb down & yet she STILL plans on meeting her for lessons! I would be staying FAR away, but I guess it's a little too late for that.

I understand WHY Lexie wants to learn magic, so she can protect the guys, but going to meet with Abby, the coven leader there, just seems SO stupid. The first time she went to a witch for help ended badly & so far, Uma is the ONLY witch I'd trust if I were her & even Uma would probably treat her differently if she hadn't been married to Louis. She should've tried to go unnoticed & kept doing lessons w/Uma via Skype.

It's like the author forgot the details of her own story & didn't bother to go back & check. That, or she's rewriting history for some odd reason. One in which they all skip the senior prom, even though they COULDN'T have gone regardless bc they finished senior year at home bc Jadis being at school was too big a threat. She needs a better editor. There's plenty of grammatical errors as well.

The inconsistencies! Lexie tells Zeke that Jadis WASN'T w/the Witch's Council“That wasn’t them, and you know it. Jadis was just saying they were part of the Council to try and give themselves some legitimacy,” SINCE WHEN? In the 8th book, in Evelyn's chapter, Jade says “They’re sub-contracting a third party and not being told about events or their plans. They don’t care how they get what they want, just the results,”

I've already noticed some significant mistakes. In the last book of TVD series, "When The Grave Calls", they're only in school for like maybe the 1st month of their senior year. After Jadis compelled Rory, they moved in w/Miles & did home schooling. But Lexie talks @ how bad the rumors @ them were at school, saying MILES of ALL people, got in so many fights he couldn't be the Valedictorian or walk for graduation!
