this book is absolutely delightful so far. it’s a nice break from the absolute insanity of eos and the last book. also love that it’s just been slice of life with purpose. it’s slower, it’s showing us everyone’s day-to-day life in antica, but the plot is always progressing. LOVE antica and the concept of the khagan. hoping they delve more into the family politics and kind of exploring each sibling

I agree! Now that I’ve delved more into the book, I have come to appreciate how the theme of vulnerability is showcased. I think this is a GREAT contrast to EOS, and I ALMOST wish I wasn’t doing the tandem read. I think both books have so much going on, that the tandem may take away from their plots, but I haven’t had any issues so far. I’m very interested in seeing how the plots of both books will come together.
