Body brushes do not have stiff bristles. They are actually often called “soft brushes”. DANDY brushes have stiff bristles.

Nooo not a spelling error🤦🏻♂️
“This is where you horse will stay.”
I don’t care that much, but it seems like something that should have been caught.

I’m surprised they didn’t include how important it is to have a vet-check before you even buy a horse, even if it’s from a “reputable” rescue or seller.

ALL horse books should include something that explains the importance of wearing helmets. It seems like I don’t see it often enough. Even just a little sentence about it suffices, like in this book.

I like the way they did this. It may come across to some people as harsh and discouraging, but the information about costs of horses is true, and MUST be considered. Props to the author for writing it this way.

I know it’s hard to fit stuff in a young-reader’s book, but some of the most interesting facts about the development of the modern horse are left out. The Bering Straight and just HOW the “wild” horses of North America came about got left out.

I’m hoping they bring up that buying/rescuing a horse is much more than the initial price/fee. They kind of made it sound like raising enough money to adopt would be the hard part, when there are more things you have to worry about after the horse is yours.
