Interesting connection to the feminist movement. It comes off as a little shallow, but this topic could have a whole chapter by itself imo so it’s forgivable.

What a bizarre ending to this chapter (you can pay to drive a car in a circuit on a dirt road when Chauffeur services become popular).

Issue of internal consistency in this book. I liked the beginning of this chapter too, but some of the things he was saying aren’t very well thought out/simplistic/special pleading.

Another questionable statement. “Israel uses advanced desalinization to meet water needs”. As I understand it desalinization is extremely energy intensive, which is an ironic given the complaints about water waste/energy associated with bottled water, fashion, pools, etc. This should be interrogated like the others instead of just uncritically mentioned as a solution.
