This is awkward. Everyone in this book is awkward. The sex scene is awkward. "He bit into her neck, tearing at her flesh and howling as his thrusts grew more and more erratic." I mean... ouch? And wtf. The word tearing should never be used in a sex scene unless it's about clothing. I don't think I want to finish this...

Ew! I completely agree! Biting and tearing into her neck, it made me think he’s a vampire of sorts…

Sounds AI-y... What person writes that and doesn't picture a werewolf eating/r*ping a poor person? *shudder*

But hte lack of soul in this book is explained if it's indeed AI. :( (I also really hate that AI is being used for book covers!!!)
