3⭐️ i had higher hopes for this. feels very fractured, and really the only thing that ties each vignette together is the fact that each is about the authors life. which like, would work if there was an overarching theme. but there isn’t. it’s just animals that at best feel loosely related to the random story being told. meanwhile the actual biological facts abt the animals are just tossed in. not a huge fan.
