This book is so weirdly boring and poorly researched. Was there literally no research done regarding how police in England might go about investigating a potential murder? And the audiobook narration of Caroline is really not great. I was so excited for this one and it is not working for me.

Get rid of the Caroline storyline completely. Not even 10 minutes of googling went into the details of this story line, and it is so silly. Removing this entire perspective would have improved this book so much.

This protagonist does things that make no sense. None of this makes sense. If the modern narrative was left completely out of this book it would have been so much better.
