this one drags. too long. with the way it's written, it will escape you that it's set in the 19th century. (it does feel more like someone in the present doing a story time recap of something that happened in the past). and it doesn't give you a chance to "bond" with the characters, not even the main. but i'm still determined to finish it. we'll get there somehow, i know
