2.5 Stars. I really don't know what to rate this. I never connected with any of the characters. There were too many too many times when the book seemed like it was trying to be profound. It kept grasping for deep but never got there. It was ok but not compelling.

Well I suspected that was coming but I still don't like it. There is no hope in this book. It's too depressing.

Not sure I'm going to make it to the end. The question of why the aliens are attacking humanity a certain way is asked over and over. The book pulls away from the answer again and again. The question has been asked so much that I'm starting to wonder if I even care about the answer anymore.
