Of all the samples, I loved the 4th symphony best - by far.
All the walking on eggshells ... I think I'd have gone crazy. Then again, if you don't know a different life ... so interesting that he's ANOTHER world-famous composer who was paraded around by the regime(s) while not actually being pro the respective government.
Interestingly, not too much happened to him (the list isn't endless like for others).

I love the history lesson Greenberg is giving here on top of the biography - especially since he gives a bibliography as well!

And yes, the 7th is more iconic / known, but not as beautiful to me. *shrugs*
