I have read thousands of romances in my life. this line in Song of Solomon is in the top time for OH BABY . He is talking to his Lady
"Your stature is like that of the palm, and your breasts like clusters of fruit.
I said, " i will climb the palm tree; I will take hold of its fruit."
That is so high level flirting that I would not have expected for that era.

I know what this bit means in Song of Solomon. Brag on your loved one to your love one and with your friends.

I don't get part of the Song of Solomon. He wants to have fun times. She is ready for bed. He leaves. She goes looks for him and gets beaten up. No meant no even back then? Don't play games? If you get in a fight, don't leave because it might result in your beloved getting hurt?

Song of Solomon is probably one of the most sensual pieces of literature I have ever read and I read a lot of romance books. It amuses me a great deal reading this chapter, mentally fanning myself Solomon pauses the "Oh My. *blush" to brag on his carriage. To be fair, it does sound very very cool.

The Leech has two daughters. "Give! Give!" They cry. Proverbs 30:15a
According to Google, The Leech and her two daughters are " COVETOUSNESS, and her two daughters are Avarice and Ambition. They never say, It is enough; they are never satisfied; they are never contented."
Makes sense to me.

The Lazy Man does not roast his game, but the diligent man prizes his possessions. Proverbs 12:27

This verse is very meaningful to me. I haven't before seen it worded quite like that but it again reverberates in me. Maybe I should remember this verse when I go to the art store or a geek convention!

In his heart a man plans his course, but the Lord determines his steps. Proverbs 16:9

This speaks to me. I am trying to improve myself.

Do you see a man wise in his own eyes? There is more hope for a fool than for him. Proverbs 26:12

I know that the advice given is more spiritual than physical. But Let your eyes look straight ahead, fix your gaze directly before you. Make level paths for your feet and take only ways that are firm is good advice for the more physical side of life.

I feel like there is a lot of lessons to be gathered from Shimei. If only he had stay in Jerusalem, he would not died. If only he had allowed for mercy and let his slaves go. If only he had remember to stay up... three years seems entirely short to forget you are living under a execution order with an escape clause... BUT I can see Shimei being very relatable.
