Correction - writing wasn't childish, the main character seemed to be. Which lends to why I am having a hard time liking her. Story getting more interesting. Plot getting thicker. Not 100% in love but things are looking up.

I'm not really sure I like the writing style here. Feels childish, remedial. And while she's growing on me little by little, I'm having a hard time liking the main character. Hoping things turn around in the second half of the book - worth finding out.
