upon reflection i forgot why i took a break from reading this final stretch of the book — right at when things were starting to get really interesting with Lila and [redacted]. i think it was because i thought, rather foolishly, that if i found the right headspace, then i could finish it in one sitting? anyway that didn't happen. i'm pretty sure i forgot a bunch of stuff about the characters.

BUT I'M BACK NOW!!!

i know it's expressed clearly in the title, but i am still in awe of how much of a genius Lila is? with every chapter, i find myself rooting for her and constantly frustrated that the societal pressures of the neighborhood cannot give her the support she needs and are thwarting her success

meanwhile, ugh RINO!!!! someone punch this guy and knock his ego out (•̀⤙•́ ) Lila get behind me

me to sections 14 and 15, aggressively highlighting sentences: BELLISSIMA!!! what intensely perceptive writing this is 🤌🏻🤌🏻🤌🏻🖌️🖌️🖌️
