Yesterday I Met some people from Taiwan. They are really friendly. Without the Shogun I may have treated them differently.

Over the middle and still hard to read. Not according the story or for the language. No because the description of the time and the Japanese people is so depressing and in the same time fascinating. When the pilot is describing the different ways to sleep in Britain and in Japan you think we are way behind civilisation

If, and that’s a big question, if the moral aspects in the book are real for that time, the treatment of wimen is more than strange. On one hand they are responsible for house, money, income, weapons, on the other hand they are not allowed to eat at the same time.

Still impressive how different these two cultures are.

How to describe. The cultures are so different. Both are civilised and not civilised. The value of life in Japan and Europe is calculated differently. The view on these two opens your mind for others.
