she’s not irish but is exactly the kind of person to write a passably irish fantasy romance i love it
you should read it. the audiobook has irish accents idk if thats a good or a bad thing for you. usually its a bad thing for me but its not badly done imo
idk whats wrong with my brain but some accents i just like zone out for and cant hear information from lmaonot sure if irish is one, my downstairs neighbors irish
i often have to slow down podcasts if the host or guest has a british accent. like i always have issues with an english accent even tho its represented in media more often than accents i don’t have an issue with.i also really struggle with word distinction with indian accents but I have a thing with my hearing that i’ve been thinking might impact any accents where syllables “roll” into the next like you hear in some english and indian accents
apparently auditory processing disorder fucks with a persons ability to discern accents. but it’d be interesting to know if it’s mostly an exposure to various accents thing or also impacted by the characteristics of speech
yeah i just call myself racist for it but its not a coincidence that i got worse marks when my lecturers were brits
and the rate in which your profs would say aluminum… too high i’m sure and how are you supposed to know what they’re saying
