The author speaks about evolution, through dialog or data, in several forms so far. For example "Devolve, "evolution of culture," "theory of...". It's annoying that the author speaks about evolution so authoritatively, yet has a layman's, or less, understanding.
It wouldn't bother me so much if he didn't use it so frequently, and if the audience wasn't YA...

So... many...terrible stereotypes. Crap. I'll give it a few more.

Hmm. Seems to be written at a YA level. Interesting start though.
