This is a very different sort of book from Downbelow Station (It's single person limited third, for one thing) but Cherryh continues to build interesting, believable speculative fiction with politics that make sense.

This is a little bit of a slower burn than some of the other books I've read recently, but it's really engaging. I can definitely understand why Cherryh has the reputation she does in scifi circles.
