It was okay, I'm sure it'll be good background for the rest of the series. A short quick read even if it wasn't that engaging and I had a hard time feeling the time period.

Here are the emotions I remember from Ms Wilde.

I feel like she's trying to take too many things from Fried Green Tomatoes, even before Millie said she was from Whistle Stop.

Not loving it yet, but I'm hoping it gives me a good set up for the series. I'm just not connecting to the characters or the time period I guess.
