After absolutely devouring the first 2 books of TVC in record time, this one felt like such a slog in the middle, but the end has just pulled it back. The lack of chronological order in Anne Rices work is enjoyable at first but then eventually the plot becomes so convoluted that it’s hard to know which way is up. Probs time to take a break from TVC before starting book 4

Okay so Anne Rice did successfully bring the storyline into the 80s without it being cringe I have to admit. I have lost the plot a bit with who’s who though, there’s been so many new characters introduced into this book. Who the fuck is Khayman??? I’ve fully forgotten who Santino is. Who is Miriam? Who’s daughter is Jesse??? God knows

Pt 1 chapter 6 on Jesse and the Talamasca has just satisfied my need for IWTV. Was too nice to see Claudia mentioned again after so long :’)

NAH. Daniel Molloy and Armand. The Devils Minion. How can 45 pages of a book be so insane. That chapter is my roman empire.
“I am the Devils Minion and he grants my every wish” had me GAGGED. I swear to god that better not be the end of that plot line for the rest of the VC cos I will riot but i also know that it most likely is :’)
