This is one of his most horrific stories because you do genuinly hope for these characters to make it out. It's a slow creeping dread. Ugh I love this book so much

i love the build up yall, stephen king is just amazing at creating palpable tension and fear. The disturbing cut out scenes and ghosts of hotels past. Freaky Deaky I always forget how much i enjoy his writing its unlike any other author ive read

I lvoe the fine line between madness and the shining. Mr. Hallorman or whatever his name was said his father had no shine to him but he sees and understands more about this hotel than Wendy. She has a shine when it comes to their son but otherwise seems unaware of whats happening. It would be interesting to see her perspective

Ugh very good I love the build up

I’m rlly getting pulled in, I think reading this at night rlly makes you see the story for what it is and feel the ominous tension building. There is anger and/or fear bubbling under the surface in every character, I am always amazed by Stephen kings ability to write characters. He just fleshes them out incredibly well it all feels much more real. Perfect book for moving into Halloween season
