This sounds like a 7th grader wrote who had a book report due the next morning wrote it. The author clearly is not in love with this storyline or is out of gas because the magic of the first book is gone. The two mains so far keep saying the same thing and why is Verena aka Naya suddenly trusting someone from the rebellion she is running from just because he said so? Weird. Purple prose so far!
