the book mostly touches on how the Semai and Temuan people utilizes the many different herbs and plants in Malaysian forests in their food as well as their daily lives. this is a fairly short book, but i took my sweet time to finish it. the illustrations in here are GORGEOUS, and the writing accompanying it is so lush and captivating. it feels like i'm watching a two-hour relaxing documentary on Discovery Channel

definitely a recommended read, especially for Malaysians who want to learn more about the cultures of Semai and Temuan people in Malaysia. the myriad of cultures in Malaysia is what makes Malaysia the colorful, beautiful country it is now, and i think it should be every Malaysian's duty to respect them and to learn more about them.

wow. this is such a wonderful read! this is a book on the indigenous people in Malaysia (specifically Semai and Temuan) and their relationship with nature and forests. the indigenous people have a lot to teach us about nurturing a healthy bond with nature and how to respect and appreciate the native plants we have.
