… bc any loose threads that are left would be kinda tragic. Loved Chess as a complex character, her antics, and most of all the Love Triangle—it’s the best I’ve ever read. Overall this series has been a ride and this last book in particular was like a victory lap, or exploration of Chess’s growth in the past few months of her life. This book feels like 3 stars but the entire series is at least a 4.

As the unofficial end to this series, this was right up, as they say in the pigeonspeak of Downside lol… no crazy twists but a last hurdle for Chess who has started to settle into her identity & relationship w Terrible. The LT has also been resolved—that kiss w Lex was unexpected but Chess has chosen. Can understand why there prob won’t be a sixth book, can fill in the blanks and give Chess her HEA…
