michael is really a boring kinda guy. I don't want him with diedre, nor do I think he's a good match.
I would love a sequel with more screentime for amariah... maybe when she's 18, 19, she can depart on sort of an angelquest and try to figure her place in the world. I can't imagine morningstar being repented, so it'd be interesting to see his feelings on returning to heaven or not. and amariah and her feels

I really wish there had been more focus on amariah, I think she had a lot of potential for a cool story, but there wasn't enough space. I like everyone we got to see, but this book felt so fast, and the conclusion kinda anticlimatic. not everything really mattered, and people just end up square one
it feels like an ending, but also not. what is mouse left with?

I'm sort of confused by some of this. I mean, first chapter, right? but Louis is really nearly offensively stereotypical gay, and Ariel... is she transgender or not? Amariah feels the need to use she pronouns, calls her so, but her boyfirend (louis) doesn't? and no one else does either? Is she a crossdresser or trans?
considering the author is (I'm pretty sure) gay/bi, this is weird to me?
