Sure, In a desperate attempt to find someone to love you-it's always a good idea to listen to the ghosts in the walls. There's no malintent whatsoever. Trauma reigns in the heart of Elliot. The authors perfectly embodied a love-starved character raised out of abuse and neglect (with almost zero redeeming qualities) who is so desperate to be owned he's willing to give himself to anyone...or anything, it seems.
