for some reason the copy i have is 1000 pages and good read says i’m done but i’m not- anyway i have literally never read a more brutal book in my life. i have not had one moment of joy. sometimes they tease me with a spark and then rip it away from my heaving chest. it is genuinely so sick and twisted and heart wrenching at every step. like there is infanticide and that shit was rough. ROUGH. i’m dying.

my heart is weary

Pierce Brown can’t keep getting away with this. It’s like all he’s even known if misery and suffering. I’m losing my mind. This is in fact the dark age. Why did I expect anything but that.
