About to quit again for a bit, but I really liked The Whisperer in Darkness. It's easy to picture it as a horror movie.

I'm so excited to eventually finish this. That being said, I dreaded The Case of Charles Dexter Ward because of the length, and I actually mostly liked it. It held my attention significantly better than some of the longer ones.

It felt like I was never going to finish "At the Mountains of Madness". Definitely prefer the shorter stories.

I'm about to put it down for another hold, but I did finish "The Dreams in the Witch House" (not a favorite - a bit long) and "The Shadow Over Innsmouth" (also not a favorite but better - suitably creepy vibe).

My hold came in, so I'm off this for a bit. It's going better than I thought, though! I really liked The Thing on the Doorstep.

I really liked Pickman's Model. It's not as creepy as some of the others, but the plot has been my favorite so far.

This is my new between-holds book. I read the first story a few months ago. I don't remember it, but it didn't compel me to read further, so I'm assuming I didn't love it. I did like The Colour Out of Space, though. It's creepy. It has some haunting imagery.
