Info dump time! Mr detective man gets all the clues lined out for him now to catch up the reader for the home stretch. Point at the person we’re heading after and pull the string.

I’m GUESSING this is gonna end up with a bait and switch. Say it’s the big bad evil man, however I feel it’s gonna be Temple. She’s shady.

Uuuggghhhhh. JUST so happen two guys with guns closing in on him and one falls down stepping on “something” in the street at night with nobody else around.

And of course his best friend, whose like his brother, is huge, muscular, handsome and perfect for whenever he needs some muscle.

Ugh, one of those stories where the main character is so clever and every other line is a zinger while every woman he comes across is incredibly attractive in some way or another.

This all seems too convenient. A cole miner is also an amateur private investigator? It’s like every like he says is a one-liner.

If I were reading this with an action physical copy I’m not sure I would be finishing it.

I’m not a fan so far. The southern twang of the verbiage is bugging me, I don’t know why. Maybe I’m feeling southern Illinois shouldn’t sound like that?

Also, Slim and Peggy? A little on the nose.
