All the magical possibilities in the writerverse and so far we've used them to 1. Make hats; 2. Spring clean a castle; 3. Climb lots of stairs; 4. Have dramatic magical deaths happen off-screen, and 5. Open a flower shop. We did have a wizard duel with giant monster transformations, but even the crowd of townspeople watching it drifted off back to their homes. But this boring, BORING book will not defeat me. Onward!

In much the same way that Howl's Moving Castle is powered miraculously by the tiny fire demon Calcifer, my will to finish this damn story is powered miraculously by how much I don't give a shit about Sophie Hatter and whether she'll ever be able to fix Howl's silvery shirt with its wondrous opulent sleeves
