This might have to be a DNF for me. I’m still waiting for whatever big event these women are eluding to to actually happen. For a 500 page book, I should have gotten somewhere by now.

There are too many books I want to read, to waste too much time of books that do not work for me.

Normally I would have stopped by now but it’s for book club so I’m skimming through.
It's soooo annoying when wikipedia doesn't have a summary of the less-than-stellar books! ;)
The book’s kindle page says it’s slated to become a tv show. I can see why that’s probably a thing. At the same time, it’s still self published. If it’s getting the Hollywood treatment, why hasn’t it been picked up by a publisher and spent some time with additional editors?
Are you sure the potential TV show option isn't just hot air, or wishful thinking? Some people sell movie rights to their novels/stories and it just sits in limbo for decades.
I guess I never really thought about it too much. The plot does have a very made for tv feel to it so I just assumed it was a thing. There are so many streaming services out there that are making tv shows that it’s almost as easy to track as self published novels.
