🙄 seriously. You can't say "this has been all my fault". No, some people have done evil things! It was not your fault.

I hope so. I prefer the other series (Jacky Leon) to this one but they're set in the same world and I'm curious about the world events. Partly, it's this female character's personality that makes the relationship not as good. She's always kept secrets and I don't know that she knows how to have an open and honest conversation and be vulnerable. It's hard. Maybe this will wrap up in a better way. I can hope! It's only 6-book series so I'm close to the end.
Not a lot of time left for growth if she hasn't been able to be vulnerable and open yet, but maybe she will!
